com.intuit.quickbooks.accountingscope, and store the same five values. Access tokens last an hour and the refresh token can change on each refresh, so the skill must save the newest one.
The accounting scope has no read-only version; with Intuit's MCP server, set QUICKBOOKS_DISABLE_WRITE, QUICKBOOKS_DISABLE_UPDATE and QUICKBOOKS_DISABLE_DELETE to true so the agent gets only read, search and report tools.

The QuickBooks Online Accounting API has two halves that agents use. The Reports API returns the standard reports as structured rows: ProfitAndLoss, BalanceSheet, CashFlow, AgedReceivables, AgedPayables and TrialBalance, with start_date, end_date, accounting_method and summarize_column_by (for example Month). The query endpoint takes a SQL-like language over entities, such as SELECT * FROM Invoice WHERE Balance > '0' AND DueDate < '2026-10-01', and the same works for Bill, Payment, Customer, Vendor and Account, where bank balances sit in CurrentBalance.
Owners and bookkeepers schedule a monthly P&L against the previous month and the same month last year, overdue invoices by customer with days outstanding, bills due in the next seven days, the cash position across bank accounts, and a weekly receivables aging summary.
