Railway MCP and Claude skills
Read deployments, build and runtime logs and service status from Railway, and report failed or crashed deploys with the log lines that explain them.
Connect Railway to your agent (MCP)
- Railway MCP server, Railway's official remote server at
https://mcp.railway.com, signed in with OAuth, where you choose which workspaces and projects the client can reach. It's in Claude's connector directory; in Claude Code runclaude mcp add --transport http railway https://mcp.railway.com. If you use the CLI (5.44.0 or later),railway mcpserves the tools from yourrailway loginsession:claude mcp add railway -- railway mcp, codex mcp add railway -- railway mcp, orrailway mcp install --agent cursor(docs). Besides the read tools it hasredeploy,create-deploymentand feature-flag tools that change things. - The
railwayCLI.railway statusandrailway logscover most checks from a linked project folder. - GraphQL API with a token. Create a workspace token in account settings and send it as
Authorization: Bearer, or a project token, which is scoped to one environment, in theProject-Access-Tokenheader. The skill readsRAILWAY_API_TOKEN.
Railway has no read-only tokens and the MCP server has no read-only mode, so limit reach instead: authorize only the project in the report, or use a project token for one environment (project tokens work with the API, not with the MCP server).

What agents do with Railway
Railway's public API is GraphQL at https://backboard.railway.com/graphql/v2. It exposes projects, environments, services and deployments; each deployment has a status such as SUCCESS, FAILED, CRASHED or BUILDING, with build and deployment logs behind it. The railway CLI reads the same data for a linked project: railway status shows what is running, and railway logs prints a service's logs. Railway's MCP server adds list-deployments, get-logs and get-status, plus a railway-agent tool for multi-step debugging.
The reports people schedule: failed or crashed deployments in the last day with the error lines, a daily record of what went to production, services that keep crashing after a deploy, and a check that every service in production is running.

Your Railway numbers, on one board with everything else
Skills are free to use with any agent. Briefkin is where their results land: one board for every report, number and question your agents send, with a ping when something needs you.
