Webflow MCP and Claude skills
Read CMS items, form submissions, pages and publish dates from Webflow sites, and report new leads, content published this week and pages missing SEO fields.
Connect Webflow to your agent (MCP)
- Webflow MCP server, Webflow's official remote server at
https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp. In Claude Code runclaude mcp add --transport http webflow https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp, then/mcp; the OAuth page lets you choose which sites to authorize and installs the MCP Bridge App, which only matters for Designer actions (docs). Webflow documents Claude (it's in the connector directory), Codex and Cursor as clients. Each authorization covers one workspace, and the agent works within your Webflow role. - Data API with a site token. In the site's settings under Apps & integrations, generate an API token with read scopes only (
sites:read, cms:read, pages:read, forms:read), store it inWEBFLOW_API_TOKENwithWEBFLOW_SITE_ID, and send it asAuthorization: Bearer.
The MCP server can build and edit pages, styles and CMS content, so for unattended reports a site token with read scopes is the narrower credential.

What agents do with Webflow
Webflow's Data API v2 (https://api.webflow.com/v2) reads a site's content without opening the Designer. GET /sites lists sites with lastPublished; GET /collections/{collection_id}/items returns CMS items with their fieldData, isDraft, isArchived, lastPublished and lastUpdated; GET /sites/{site_id}/pages returns pages with their SEO titles and descriptions; and GET /sites/{site_id}/forms with GET /forms/{form_id}/submissions returns form entries. Webflow's MCP server reads the same objects and can also read a site's analytics.
Marketing teams schedule a daily digest of new form submissions, a weekly list of CMS items published or still in draft, pages with an empty meta description or a duplicate title, and a check that the site was published after the last round of edits.
