Mixpanel MCP and Claude skills

Connect Mixpanel to your agent (MCP)

  1. Mixpanel MCP server, Mixpanel's official remote server at https://mcp.mixpanel.com/mcp (https://mcp-eu.mixpanel.com/mcp for EU, https://mcp-in.mixpanel.com/mcp for India). Mixpanel is in Claude's connector directory for US projects; for EU or India, add the regional URL as a custom connector. Its Run-Query tool runs insights, funnels, flows and retention queries (docs).
  2. Query API with a service account. Create a service account in your organization settings, store MIXPANEL_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_USERNAME, MIXPANEL_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_SECRET and MIXPANEL_PROJECT_ID, and call the Query API with basic auth.

Give the service account access to only the project the report covers, with the Consumer or Analyst role rather than Admin.

Mixpanel's Query API (https://mixpanel.com/api/query, or the eu. and in. hosts for those data residencies) answers the questions product teams ask every week. /insights runs a saved Insights report by its bookmark_id, /segmentation counts an event over time with an optional breakdown by property, /funnels returns step-by-step conversion for a saved funnel, and /retention returns retention by cohort start date. Lexicon definitions tell an agent which event and property names are real.

The scheduled versions: weekly active users and their trend, conversion through the signup or checkout funnel, retention of last month's cohorts, usage of a newly launched feature, and a stakeholder summary of a saved board.
