Gumroad MCP: connect it to Claude Code, plus ready-made skills

Pull sales, revenue by product, refunds, memberships and payouts from Gumroad, and post the week's sales with the products that sold best.

How to connect Gumroad MCP to Claude Code, Codex or Cursor

  1. Gumroad MCP server, Gumroad's own hosted server. In Claude, add https://gumroad.com/claude/v1/mcp as a custom connector (Gumroad isn't in Claude's directory yet) and sign in to Gumroad; other clients that support OAuth with PKCE can use the same URL. Its tools list products, sales and payouts, and can create, publish and unpublish product drafts (details).
  2. API v2 with an access token. In Gumroad, open Settings > Advanced, create an application under Applications, and click Generate access token. Store the token in GUMROAD_ACCESS_TOKEN and pass it as the access_token parameter. An OAuth app can ask for just the view_sales scope.

If your client lets you choose OAuth scopes for the MCP server, keep view_sales and view_payouts and leave out edit_products unless you want drafts made from chat. Disconnecting in the chat app doesn't revoke the token: do that under Authorized Applications in Gumroad's settings.

What agents do with Gumroad

Gumroad's API v2 (https://api.gumroad.com/v2) is small and practical. GET /sales returns successful sales with after and before dates (YYYY-MM-DD), filters by product_id or email, and pages with page_key, taken from the previous response's next_page_key. Each sale includes the product, price, currency, buyer email, referrer, refund and dispute flags, and subscription details for memberships. GET /products lists products with their price and sales count, the subscribers endpoint covers memberships, and payouts have their own endpoints. Amounts are in the smallest unit of the sale's currency, cents for dollars.

Creators schedule weekly sales and revenue by product against the week before, new and canceled memberships, refunds with the product they came from, the referrers that brought buyers, and the next payout.
