How to connect UptimeRobot MCP to Claude Code, Codex or Cursor

UptimeRobot MCP server, UptimeRobot's official hosted server at https://mcp.uptimerobot.com/mcp. Sign in with your UptimeRobot account and choose read-only or full access, or send an API key as a Bearer token. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http uptimerobot https://mcp.uptimerobot.com/mcp, adding --header "Authorization: Bearer <read-only key>" to use a key. UptimeRobot also publishes ready-made plugins for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex at github.com/uptimerobot/ai (docs).
API with a read-only key. Create a read-only API key in the dashboard's Integrations & API section, store it in UPTIMEROBOT_API_KEY, and call getMonitors. The free plan allows 10 requests a minute and paid plans allow more.

A read-only key covers listing monitors, stats, incidents and integrations; creating, pausing or editing monitors needs the main API key, which a reporting skill should never hold.

What agents do with UptimeRobot

UptimeRobot comes down to monitors and their history. The legacy v2 API's getMonitors call (POST https://api.uptimerobot.com/v2/getMonitors) returns every monitor with its status and, on request, its logs, response times and custom uptime ratios such as the last 7 and 30 days (custom_uptime_ratios=7-30); a newer v3 API is now the main reference. The UptimeRobot MCP server exposes the same picture: monitors with their current state, incidents with timelines and error codes, uptime and health stats, and response-time series from one hour to 90 days with minimum, maximum, average and p95.

Teams schedule a weekly uptime report per site against an SLA target, a morning list of monitors that went down overnight and for how long, and a check for response times creeping up on key endpoints.
